Bacoor market under lockdown after vendors, marshals test positive for COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — The Bacoor City Public Market or more popularly known as Zapote Market was placed under a one-week lockdown after some of its vendors and marshals tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 during a mass testing conducted by the city government.

“Ang Bacoor City Public Market o mas kilala sa tawag na Zapote Market ay pansamantalang isasara simula bukas August 11 hanggang August 18 matapos na malaman ng Pamahalaang Lungsod na mayroong mga manininda at security marshalls ang nag-positibo sa ginawang mass testing noong August 7,” the city government of Bacoor announced in a Facebook post on Monday night.

(The Bacoor City Public Market or more known Zapote Market will be placed on temporary lockdown starting August 11 to 18 after the city government found that some vendors and marshals tested positive in the mass testing conducted on August 7.)

The Bacoor LGU advised those who went to the market from August 5 to 10 to monitor their health condition and advised them to immediately coordinate with their respective barangay health emergency response teams if they will show symptoms of COVID-19.
