Pinay nurse gives birth upon arrival at Naia

MANILA, Philippines — Medical personnel at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) assisted a Filipino nurse who went on labor during her flight from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last Wednesday.

The nurse, Frelyn Ulep Sosa, 37, gave birth to a baby boy near the immigration area at Naia Terminal 2 around 2:29 p.m.

Sosa’s flight, PR-665, landed at 10:30 a.m. The mother and her newborn were later brought to the Pasay City General Hospital.
