/ 08:23 AM August 07, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and most parts of the country are expected to have a wet, rainy weekend due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat” and a low pressure area (LPA) off Quezon and Catanduanes, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Ang southwest monsoon o habagat ay patuloy na magdadala ng pag-ulan sa Southern Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao kaya’t patuloy na makakaranas ng makulimlim na panahon, ulan at pagkidlat,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said in a 4 a.m. weather update on Friday.
