60 more cops get coronavirus; PNP tally now at 2,407

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police recorded 60 new cases of COVID-19, pushing the total number of cases to 2,407.

Of the additional COVID-19-infected police officers, 39 are from Metro Manila police; five from National Headquarters; four from Calabarzon; three from Mimaropa; and two from Zamboanga Peninsula.

The PNP also documented one case each from Health Service; PNP Headquarters Support Service; Aviation Security Group; Police Security and Protection Group; Ilocos Region; Western Visayas; and Cagayan Valley.

In a Facebook post, total recoveries in the police organization rose to 1,428 with 44 new survivors.

Fatalities in PNP remained at 11 after recording no new deaths on Thursday.
