P2.5M shabu seized from man in Makati drug watchlist
MANILA, Philippines — A 24-year-old man included in Makati police drug watchlist was apprehended with over P2.5 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) confiscated in his house on Wednesday night.
In a report from the Southern Police District (SPD) Thursday, the suspect was identified as John Edward Sayson of Barangay San Isidro in Makati City.
Makati City police chief Col. Oscar Jacildo, as well as its drug enforcement unit (DEU) and intelligence operatives, hatched a buy-bust operation against Sayson at 6 p.m.
Sayson was arrested after he transacted P50,000 worth of meth to an undercover police officer.
Seized were P2,552,584 worth of shabu; plastic sachets; black sling bag; weighing scale; identification cards; and 2 cellphones.
Article continues after this advertisementThe pieces of evidence were turned over to SPD for filing of complaints. Sayson, who is detained in Makati, will face cases for selling and possession of illegal drugs under Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
