COVID-19 cases in Nueva Ecija climb to 248 after 3 more get infected

CABANATUAN CITY — Three more cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were added to the tally of Nueva Ecija on Thursday, the local task force said.

The new patients include a 32-year-old female call center agent from Barangay Sto. Niño 2nd in San Jose City, a 21-year-old man from Barangay Triala in Guimba town, and a 46-year-old man from Barangay Niyugan in Jaen town.

With the new cases, the province’s COVID-19 cases rose to 248.

The COVID-19 case in Guimba was reportedly exposed to another patient, while the new case in Jaen traveled to Manila where he was quarantined.

At least 121 COVID-19 patients in the province have recovered from the virus, while 11 had died, the task force said.
