Antigraft court acquits Parañaque treasurer

/ 04:10 AM August 01, 2020

The Sandiganbayan Fourth Division has acquitted a Parañaque City treasurer of graft for allegedly reducing the property tax of a condominium association despite its supposed failure to comply with amnesty requirements.

In a decision penned by Associate Justice Alex Quiroz in November 2017, Anthony Pulmano was found not guilty.

The court also canceled the hold departure order it issued in December 2016.

The case stemmed from the reduction of the real property tax delinquency liability of the Chevy Chase Condominium Owners Association to P4.05 million from P12.89 million. —Jhesset O. Enano
