MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte said drug pushers and addicts in the country will not receive free COVID-19 vaccine from the government.

“‘Yun ang utos ko. Yun ang gusto ko. Hindi maganda? Hindi talaga maganda. Yung mga tao, hindi pala tao sila, ang tingin ko sa mga drug user, drug lord? Aso,” Duterte said in a speech aired Friday morning.

“Tingin ko sa kanila aso. Hindi ako magtulong sa inyo. Sinisira niyo ang Pilipinas,” he added.

The President said he will tap the military to lead the distribution of the COVID-19 once it is available.

He noted that poor beneficiaries of government aid and those who are sick and dying will be prioritized, followed by the middle class.
