MANILA, Philippines — Two mayors in Metro Manila are looking for health professionals to augment their COVID-19 efforts such as contact tracing and treatment of patients infected with coronavirus disease.
San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora said public hospital San Juan Medical Center will be needing nurses.
“San Juan Medical Center is currently hiring nurses. The positions available are Nurse I with a salary grade of 15 or Php 32,053 gross pay monthly plus other benefits,” Zamora said in a tweet on Tuesday.

Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said the City Health Office and quarantine center are looking for more medical workers.
“Kailangan natin ng karagdagang contact tracers at staff sa centralized quarantine facility para mapakalas ang aksyon natin laban sa covid-19,” Sotto said in another tweet.

He said the Centralized Quarantine in Pasig is hiring 65 nurses and 35 doctors while the Pasig Health Department needs 60 nurses or medical technologists.

In San Juan City, 766 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease were recorded. This includes 48 deaths and 474 recoveries.
Pasig City, meanwhile, 1,570 confirmed cases with 735 recoveries and 110 fatalities.
