Duterte vows amplified gov’t efforts vs child labor in Sona 2020
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has vowed to amplify increase government efforts to protect child rights and eliminate all forms of child labor.
“Government efforts to protect the rights of children will be amplified to prevent, reduce, and eliminate any form of child labor,” Duterte said in his fifth State of the Nation Address (Sona) at the Batasang Pambansa on Monday.

The council is chaired by the labor secretary, with the social welfare secretary as co-chair.
