Tagbilaran City has 3 new COVID-19 cases

TAGBILARAN CITY –– Three fresh cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in this city on Sunday, bringing the number of active infections here to 24.

In a post on Facebook, Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II said the new cases involve two locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and an authorized person outside residence (APOR).

He said the 23-year-old male LSI arrived on July 14 from Manila, while the 20-year-old male LSI arrived on July 15 also from Manila.

The 32-year-old male APOR, on the other hand, arrived in Tagbilaran City last July 18 from Mandaue City in Cebu.

Yap said the three patients are not manifesting symptoms of the disease.

The province of Bohol has 78 cases of COVID-19 with 55 recoveries and three deaths.

Yap reported that the 13-year-old boy from Barangay Dampas in this city, the province’s youngest COVID-19 patient, already tested negative for the virus.

The boy’s mother and 5-year-old brother have also recovered.
