TAGBILARAN CITY — Health authorities in Sagbayan and Bilar towns in Bohol launched contact tracing procedures after a woman who visited the two municipalities tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap, in a post on Facebook on Thursday, said the latest victim of COVID-19 served as a staff of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The woman, he said, was the seventh COVID-19 patient who acquired the virus through community transmission.

“Life is difficult and COVID will make life harder. We are under sustained attack by this virus. For the love of your families and Bohol, I ask you to please stand up and fight back by simply following our health standards,” Yap said.
