3 fall in Bicol buy-busts
LEGAZPI CITY –– Three suspected drug pushers were arrested by anti-narcotics operatives in separate buy-bust operations in Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, and Albay provinces on Tuesday.
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police, said that in Camarines Sur, Alex Laporteza, 37, a high-value target (HVT), was arrested with 16 sachets of shabu (crystal meth) in Barangay Sta. Maria, Lagonoy town at 8:50 p.m.
In Albay, Andres Brita was caught while selling a sachet of shabu in Barangay Quinale, Tabaco City at 5:45 p.m.
Earlier, Jay Ariola Gutierrez, also an HVT illegal drug seller, was caught in possession with two sachets of shabu in Barangay Gahonon, Daet, Camarines Norte around 3 p.m.
All arrested suspects were under police custody and facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
