LGU employee slain in Masbate town

LEGAZPI CITY –– A local government employee was killed by unidentified men in Claveria town in Masbate province on Tuesday night.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police, said James Renquillo, a municipal aide at the Claveria local government, was on his way home on board his motorcycle when attacked by the gunmen in Sitio Balete, Barangay Imelda around 8:30 p.m.

The victim died instantly after suffering bullet wounds in various parts of his body.

Calubaquib said investigators were still determining the identities of the assailants and the motive in the killing.
