As of July 21, COVID-19 cases in the Philippines have breached the 70,000 mark and experts see this number to continue to surge in the coming days and weeks.

Former Health Secretary Manuel Dayrit, who led the country’s successful fight against SARS back in 2003, sits down with INQUIRER.net reporter Neil Arwin Mercado to discuss why rapid tests are actually not recommended in determining if a person is positive for COVID-19 or not, as well as cite measures that the government can implement to improve our testing capabilities.
