Malolos lawyers office COVID-19-free after worker, husband test negative on confirmatory results

The Public Attorney’s Office in the City of Malolos remains free of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after one of its staff and her husband tested negative for the virus based on confirmatory results. —Carmela Reyes-Estrope

CITY OF MALOLOS — A staff member of the Public Attorneys’ Office (PAO) here and her husband tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) based on confirmatory results, authorities said.

The couple had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 based on rapid tests, which prompted the temporary closure and disinfection of the office, according to lawyer Kristine Kay David-Manuel, PAO officer-in-charge.

Manuel had informed Executive Judge Olivia Escubio-Samar of the Bulacan Regional Trial Court about the latest result.

On July 15, Manuel wrote Samar and informed her that one of their staff members had contracted the virus.

Vice Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado had also confirmed the outcome based on rapid tests that initially yielded positive results.

The PAO resumed its operation on Monday after days of disinfection. It posted a disclaimer on their office saying it remains free of COVID-19.
