MANILA, Philippines — The legislative building and Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) the Parañaque City Hall will be shut down for disinfection from July 20 to 22, 2020, Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced.
“The whole legislative building of the Parañaque City Hall shall be temporarily closed to include the following offices: All offices of judiciary and other national government agencies, all offices of the Sangguniang Panglungsod, and Treasurer’s Office,” City Health Officer Dr. Olga Virtusio Olivarez said.
In a separate social media post, the Paranaque local government Olivarez said the BPLO will also be closed on July 20-22 for disinfection and containment activities.
Olivarez said that as of Saturday, the total number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Parañaque City is 1,944, including 1,017 recoveries and 72 deaths.
He reminded his constituents to stay at home as much as possible and to follow health protocols against the spread of COVID-19.
