VP office suspends ops; 4 staffers test positive
MANILA, Philippines — The Office of Vice President (OVP) has temporarily suspended operations, after four staffers, including those engaged in virus response operations, tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Barry Gutierrez, OVP spokesperson, said on Sunday that Vice President Leni Robredo had tested negative for the virus.
Last week, an OVP staffer tested positive for coronavirus, prompting tests for other OVP personnel. Three additional staffers had also tested positive. Gutierrez said contact tracing procedures have already started.
