Cagayan Valley’s COVID-19 tally up by 16
TUGUEGARAO CITY-Sixteen new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in Cagayan Valley on Friday (July 17), raising the region’s tally to 206, health officials said.
The new cases include that of a 29-year-old woman from Solana town, Cagayan province and a 30-year-old woman from Kasibu town, Nueva Ecija. Both were overseas workers who had returned from Saudi Arabia.
Records from the Department of Health-Center for Health Development in Cagayan Valley showed that the other 14 new cases were those of stranded persons returning to their hometowns in the region.
The 206th patient, a 26-year-old woman from Iguig town, Cagayan province, gave birth at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center. Her baby tested negative for the virus but was confined in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
