Applications now open for Japanese scholarships
APPLICATIONS are now open for the 2012 Japanese government scholarship.
The scholarship categories — teacher training and Japanese studies — are open to all Filipino citizens.
Applicants for the teaching training should have good academic standing with at least five years teaching experience at elementary or secondary school.
They must be under 35 years old and their fields of study are education management, methods of education, special subjects and observation study.
Academic staff in a teacher training school are also eligible to apply.
Applicants for the Japanese studies majoring in the Japanese language or culture in universities should be 18 to 29 years old, have enough knowledge of the Japanese language and a good academic standing.
