LUCENA CITY –– Three coronavirus disease (COVID-19)-related deaths were recorded in Quezon province, authorities said Saturday.
The fatalities include a confirmed COVID-19 patient from Lopez town, one suspected virus carrier, and another “probable” patient, the Quezon public information office (QPIO) said.
No added details were given on the death of the validated COVID-19 patient from Lopez on Friday.
The QPIO also did not provide details on the “probable” and “suspect” fatalities or even the cause of their demise.
The death toll among those suspected of coronavirus infection but have yet to get confirmation has risen to 66 from April 14 to date.
The number of fatalities among those tagged as “probable” cases is 21 during the same period.
From March 15 to April 13, the province’s health office record showed 44 deaths of persons suspected of having COVID-19.
The latest report shows that the number of persons suspected of infection, who are confined in hospitals, is now 38 from 33. Another 56 are on home quarantine.
Quezon has 193 COVID-19 patients with the addition of a new case from Candelaria town, 142 of whom had recovered and 12 died.
The province has 39 remaining active virus carriers.
