Pasay wants residents to become ‘plantitas’

/ 05:02 AM July 10, 2020

To ensure food security and promote love for the environment, the Pasay City government has urged residents to be “plantitas” or urban farmers especially while at home during the pandemic.

Tess Robles of the city’s Tourism Office encouraged vertical gardening by planting seeds given for free by the Bureau of Plant Industry.

Robles said the seeds could be picked up at the Visitor Center of the Tourism Council.

The city government is also coordinating with village officials to distribute the seeds. —JODEE A. AGONCILLO
