Smuggled frozen food seized from Angeles City warehouse

Authorities in Angeles City raid a warehouse of frozen food, including Peking duck, chicken feet and drumstick, and pork. The warehouse, which is located in Barangay Anunas, was registered with the city government. (Contributed)

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– The Angeles City government on Wednesday raided a warehouse containing smuggled Peking duck, chicken feet and drumstick, and pork.

Dr. Christian Arcilla, city veterinarian, said the warehouse, located in Barangay Anunas, was not registered with the city government.

The Bureau of Customs was still assessing the value of the items, he said, adding that these were kept in two refrigerated container vans.

This was the second warehouse with the same contents that were raided in Angeles City. INQ
