CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– At least 12 people in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Minalin, Pampanga were isolated for laboratory tests on Wednesday after they got exposed to an ambulant vendor whose test results confirmed he died of COVID-19, Mayor Edgar Flores said.

The vendor, who complained of difficulty in breathing, died on Monday at a public hospital. Unaware of his cause of death, his relatives held a wake for him. Local health authorities ordered cremation on Wednesday.

He was the second COVID-19 positive case in Minalin, one of four Pampanga towns that remained free of the virus until two weeks ago.

In Apalit town, Barangay Capalangan and the sub-village of Pulong Kawayan in Barangay Sulipan have been locked down due to 21 COVID-19 cases. INQ
