Keeping tabs in Quezon: 1 new COVID-19 case, 1 recovery

LUCENA CITY—Quezon province has recorded a new coronavirus case and another recovery, according to the Quezon public information office (QPIO) on Friday (July 3).

In its 5 p.m. report, the provincial information office, said the new COVID-19 patients was from Infanta town.

The local government of Infanta, on its Facebook page, said the infected resident was a 47-year-old female health worker employed at the Claro M. Recto Memorial District Hospital in the town who has no history of travel in infected places.

The QPIO report also said an unidentified patient from Tayabas City has recovered from COVID-19.

Quezon, which is on modified general community quarantine, has recorded a total of 169 COVID-19 cases.

However, 131 of them have already recovered while 11 others died.

Health authorities in different parts of the province still keep watch over 40 suspected COVID-19 patients, all confined in medical facilities. Another 85 are on home quarantine.
