MANILA, Philippines — Baguio City’s Forest house is closing down after 19 years in business.

The establishment, one of the summer capital’s most beloved restaurants, broke the news on Tuesday, June 30, as it thanked its loyal customers who have patronized its nearly two decades of operation.

“Whether you dropped by for a cup of coffee or a feast with your family, we thank you for your support. We are glad that Forest House became a part of your dining experience. But unfortunately, an era comes to an end. Forest House is closing its doors,” Forest House wrote in a Facebook post.

“We are more than just a place to dine. It was the warm ambiance, the great service and the excellent food that kept you coming back,” the restaurant added.

Forest House then recalled how its customers celebrated special occasions at its establishment, which is fondly called “a place to create memories.”

“We are grateful for the last 19 years. Each time you entered, we warmly welcomed you; and as you left, we thanked you and bid you goodbye. But this time we say our last farewell,” it added.

Although it joins other businesses closing down amid the coronavirus pandemic, Forest House did not mention the reason why it is ending its 19 years of business in the restaurant industry.
