MANILA, Philippines — Five persons of interest (POI) were tagged as to be involved in the killing of 34-year-old Robyn Jang Lucero in Calamba City, Laguna, city police chief Lt. Col. Gene Licud said on Wednesday.

In a phone interview with INQUIRER.net, Licud declined to identify the exact relation of the POIs to Lucero as it might  jeoperdize to their investigation.

“Kakilala lang muna kasi kapag sinabi kong kamag-anak, wala na masisira yung investigation namin,” Licud said.

(For now, let’s just say she knows them. I cannot say their relations to her like if they are relatives then our investigation will be preempted.)

Licud said they were able to determine the POIs by looking into the victim’s interactions on social media, which Lucero used for her rental car business transactions.

“Kung paano kami nag-arrive dun sa persons of interest is through sa social media niya (Lucero). Hindi namin binuksan yung social media niya. Pinag-aralan lang namin yung pinagusapan,” he said.

Licud said if evidence would establish that the POIs are the suspects behind Lucero’s death, they would immediately be arrested.

To recall, Lucero was found lifeless inside a rental car parked along Bucal ByPass Road in Barangay Maunong last June 28, Sunday at 10:24 p.m.
