BREAKING: Another House employee tests positive for coronavirus
MANILA, Philippines — Another employee of the House of Representatives has been tested positive for coronavirus, House Secretary General Jose Luis Montales said Wednesday.
Montales said that the employee is assigned at the Internal Audit Department of the House and last reported for work on June 24.
“Protocols for handling positive cases and their close contacts are being observed. Let’s remain cautious; let’s continue following our health and safety guidelines,” Montales said in a statement.
The patient is the ninth COVID-19 in the House, with the eight case confirmed on June 27
As of June 30, there are 37,514 COVID-19 cases in the country, with recoveries at 10,233 and death toll at 1,266.
