2 drug pushers fall in separate Albay busts

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines  — Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate drug busts in Albay on Tuesday night.

Captain Dexter Panganiban, information officer of the Albay police, said Jhun Albert Asis Jr., 27, a resident of San Nicolas, Iriga City in Camarines Sur, was arrested in Barangay Lamba, Legazpi City at around 7:12 p.m.

Seized from him was a plastic bag of suspected shabu (crystal meth) weighing around 50 grams worth P340,000 and other drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, in Camalig town, Jimbo Martinez, 23, was caught selling suspected shabu to an undercover agent at the town market in Barangay 6 at around 11:30 p.m., Panganiban said.

Seized from Martinez were five assorted sachets containing shabu, police said.
