8 Chinese nationals, 2 others deported

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Tuesday said it deported 10 more foreign nationals detained at its warden facility in Taguig City.

The deportees include eight Chinese nationals, five of whom are fugitives wanted for economic crimes due to their involvement in illegal online gaming operations and telecom fraud, while the three others were overstaying and also committed fraud and misrepresentation.

The two other deportees were Mongolians who allegedly worked as sex workers and were caught during a raid on prostitution dens in Metro Manila last year.

BI port operations chief Grifton Medina said the 10 illegal aliens left for China via separate flights.

“All of them have been placed in the immigration blacklist of undesirable aliens upon orders of our board of commissioners, thus they are now banned from re-entering the Philippines,” he added.
