Pagasa: Moderate to heavy rain in NCR, other Luzon areas over next few hours
MANILA, Philippines — Residents of Metro Manila and nearby Luzon provinces may have to bring their umbrellas when going out of their homes as moderate to heavy rains may be expected in these areas this Tuesday afternoon.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 3:19 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that moderate to heavy rains are likely over Metro Manila, Tarlac, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas within the next two hours.
Pagasa added that the aforementioned conditions are currently being experienced over Quezon province (Mauban, Sampaloc, Tayabas), Zambales (Botolan, Iba, Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria, Santa Cruz), Rizal (Cardon, Tanay, Antipolo), Nueva Ecija (Carranglan), and Laguna. This situation, the state weather bureau noted, may persist over these areas within two hours and may affect nearby areas as well.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslide,” Pagasa said.
Pagasa earlier said that most parts of the country will have hot and humid weather, with possible afternoon rain showers, for Tuesday.
