Cebu province COVID-19 watch: 1,054 total cases
CEBU CITY – Cebu province’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases on Sunday surpassed the 1,000 mark in the number of COVID-19 cases.
As of Sunday afternoon, June 28, the province has registered 1,054 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
The Department of Health in Central Visayas reported 103 new cases, the biggest single-day count since the start of the pandemic.
The province also registered two new deaths.
Of the total cases, 783 are considered active.
Two hundred three patients have recovered while 68 others died.

Giango said 12 other Capitol employees also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
She dismissed rumors that the infected employees relied on “tuob” or steam inhalation to relieve symptoms.
