Couple busted with P680,000 shabu in Iriga City sting

LEGAZPI CITY – Two drug suspects who yielded P680,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were arrested in a drug sting Sunday night in Iriga City, Camarines Sur, a police report said.

Danilo Contreras, 58, a business man and a high value target, and his wife  Gladys, 54, both residents of Barangay San Roque were caught selling shabu in their village at around 9 p.m., said Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson.

Seized from the suspects were sachets of shabu weighing 100 grams.

The suspects are under the custody of the Iriga City police while a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared.
