Metro railways serve more than 2 million passengers since GCQ — DOTr

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila’s railway systems served more than 2 million passengers since it resumed operations last June 1, the Department of Transportation said Thursday.

The DOTr reported that since the implementation of the general community quarantine (GCQ), all four rail lines served 2,799,025 commuters while observing health protocols.

“All 4 rail lines of the DOTr resumed operations under a partial, gradual and calibrated approach – with limited capacity and with stringent social distancing and sanitary measures in place,” read the statement.
