Gov’t allows limited operations of bars, coffee shops in clubhouses
MANILA, Philippines — Bars, cafés, and other food establishments in clubhouses may now operate in a limited capacity.
In its Resolution No. 48 made public Tuesday, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) said restaurants, cafés, and bars in clubhouses can operate at 30 percent operational capacity, provided that the venue capacity allows physical distancing and other protocols imposed to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
These establishments can operate up to 9 p.m. daily and should adhere to the protocols set by the Department of Trade and Industry, the IATF resolution added.
Restaurants and other food establishments in areas under general community quarantine like Metro Manila are allowed to operate their dine-in services up to 30 percent of store capacity. Meanwhile, those in modified GCQ areas can operate up to 50 percent store capacity.
The IATF also extended food establishments’ dine-in services up to 9 p.m. following the easing of community quarantine curfew.
Food establishments and customers are required to observe physical distancing, wearing of face masks and other public health standards imposed to curtail the spread of COVID-19, which has already infected over 30,000 people nationwide.
