SAN PEDRO CITY –– An anti-drug police operation resulted in the death of a suspected pusher and the arrest of 14 others in Bacoor City, Cavite early on Tuesday.

The slain suspect was identified as Eduardo Tagala, who was included in the police watchlist for illegal drug trade.

Lt. Col. Vicente Cabatingan, chief of Bacoor City police, in a message, said that the buy-bust and the simultaneous implementation of a search warrant happened around 5 a.m. in Barangay Niog 1.

During the operation, Tagala reportedly resisted arrest prompting the shootout.

Police arrested 14 others identified as Luis Ballidio, Ralph Anthony Malig, Joshua Delos Reyes, Roger Clerigo Jr., Daniel Ugalde, Diana Rose Estrada, Eduardo Pinto, Alfel Estrada, Romeo Melando Villegas, Bryan Joseph Lintan, Emolfe Ecanza, Kristopher Ferrer, Glenn Guillermo, and Milbert Daigan.

The police recovered from the scene a total of 50 grams of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P340,000 and one gram of marijuana.
