DZIQ: No significant trend in occurrence, magnitude of quakes —Phivolcs

MANILA, Philippines—There is no significant trend in the occurrence and magnitude of earthquakes that hit the Philippines based on the monitoring of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology from 1900 up to the present, Phivolcs science specialist Winchelle Sevilla told Radyo Inquirer Tuesday.

Sevilla said that there was no noteworthy trend indicating that earthquakes hitting the country are becoming more frequent or getting bigger in magnitude.
