2 new cases in Bicol bring region’s total COVID-19 tally to 84

LEGAZPI CITY –– Two new patients from this city and San Andres town in Catanduanes tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Saturday, bringing the total tally in the region to 84.

Both patients did not show symptoms when they were tested, according to the Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol. They are now quarantined in their respective localities.

Bicol#83 is a 39-year-old woman from San Andres town, who arrived in Manila from the Middle East, according to DOH.

As of this writing, the DOH has no details on the date of arrival of the patient in Catanduanes.

Bicol#84, meanwhile, is a 50-year-old painter from Legazpi City, said Dr. Antonio Ludovice of the Albay Provincial Health Office.

According to DOH, Bicol#84 arrived in this city on June 9.

These new cases bring the total number of known COVID-19 patients in Albay province to 63. Catanduanes province now has three.
