2 frontline cops test COVID-19 positive in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY – Two police officers in the frontline of the campaign against COVID-19 pandemic here have been tested positive for the SARS-CoV2 virus which caused the disease.

Arjohn Gangoso, speaking for the Department of Health (DOH) in the Soccsksargen region, said the two patients—a 34-year old and a 41-year old man, respectively, were still awaiting their PH number from the DOH.

The two patients are the 33rd and 34th confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region and the 16th and 17th patients in Cotabato City.

Both are currently in stable condition, according to Gangoso.

Earlier, Dr. Meyasser Patadon, Cotabato city health officer, told reporters that one of the patients worked for the Cotabato City Police Office while the other served as part of the augmentation group from Police Regional Office in the Bangsamoro region (PRO-BAR).

Patadon said only the two tested positive of the city’s frontline workers earlier subjected to rapid antibody testing in the city.
