MANILA, Philippines — After his angiogram procedure yielded “unremarkable” results, former Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr. will no longer need to undergo a heart procedure called angioplasty, according to his son Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday afternoon, the younger Revilla said his father may no longer need to be hooked to a ventilator in the coming days.
“Katatapos lang po ng angiogram ni Daddy and the results were unremarkable! Thank God his heart is okay at walang anumang nakita na problema. He will not need an angioplasty,” the senator said.
(Daddy’s angiogram just finished and the results were unremarkable! Thank God his heart is OK and there were no problems. He will not need an angioplasty.)
“[B]aka pwede na rin daw siya tanggalin sa ventilator soon if he continues his progress at walang maging ibang problema moving forward,” he added as he thanked those who offered their prayers for his father’s recovery.
(He may also be unhooked from the ventilator soon if he continues his progress and no other problems would arise moving forward.)
Last week, the Revilla patriarch was rushed to the hospital due to breathing difficulty and was “somewhat unresponsive.”
From the St. Dominic Medical Center in Bacoor, Cavite, the elder Revilla was transferred to St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global City in Taguig, where he was attached to a ventilator.
