Malabon warehouses hit by fire

MANILA, Philippines — A fire that started in a warehouse in Malabon City on Monday morning and then spread to two others had yet to be put out as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

FO1 Reginaldo Cabael, BFP Malabon radio operator, said that firefighters were having trouble putting out the blaze that started at Win Warehouse in Barangay Potrero due to the confined space.

No deaths or injuries have been reported so far.

The appliance warehouse owned by Paul Tan which also contained materials for musical instruments caught fire around 1 a.m. Monday.

The flames then spread to neighboring establishments. After the blaze reached the fourth alarm at 2:34 a.m., it was declared under control by 9:42 p.m., but firemen have yet to put it out as of Tuesday afternoon.
