2 PCG personnel photographed pillion riding to fully accept punishment

MANILA, Philippines– The Philippine Coast Guard couple who went viral after being photographed pillion riding said that they would wholly accept the consequences of their actions, the PCG said on Monday in a statement.

The two violated the anti-pillion riding on June 2, 2020 amid the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in and was photographed by a netizen along Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

It was uploaded on Facebook and garnered 3.7k reacts and 22K shares.

One Facebook user captioned: “Coast Guard walang huli huli” another commented “Totoo pag naka-uniform walang batas batas, samantalagang kami ng asawa ko mga normal na tao lang sinita kami at muntik pa kami tiketan dahil balaw daw angkas kahit mag-asawa.”

The female PCG personnel with the rank of Seawoman Second Class (SW2) just finished a 24-hour duty of medically screening ships’ crew and local fishermen for COVID-19 at Integrated Advanced Command Post (IACP) located in North Harbor, Port Area, Manila when she was offered a ride home by her boyfriend.

She tried to look for an available transport service but to no avail, thus leaving her no choice but to meet with her boyfriend who is also a PCG personnel bearing the rank of Seaman Second Class (SN2).
