MANILA, Philippines — Four persons died and six were injured in a multiple-vehicle collision involving three trucks along Marcos Highway in Tuba, Benguet on Monday.
The incident happened along Sitio Bontiway, Barangay Poblacion at 4 a.m., according to an initial report from the Benguet police.
Police said the driver of the garbage truck lost control of the vehicle and then collided into the rear portion of a dump truck.
Due to the impact, the dump truck then crashed into the front portion of a trailer truck traversing the opposite lane, heading towards Baguio City.
The four fatalities, all male, died on the spot, while the injured persons were rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, according to police.
