2 more OFWs returning to Bacolod, Negros sick with COVID-19

BACOLOD CITY—Two more repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Bacolod City and Murcia town, Negros Occidental tested positive for SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.

This brought the number of COVID-19 cases in Bacolod to 16 and 11 in Negros Occidental.

Bacolod’s latest COVID-19 case involved a 43-year-old male seafarer who arrived in Manila from England on April 23.

The patient arrived in Bacolod on board a 2Go vessel on May 20. He showed no symptoms and was isolated in a quarantine facility here.

The other case, listed on Negros Occidental’s tally board, involved a 31-year-old female OFW who returned the Philippines from Hong Kong last March 28.

The patient from the village of Santa Rosa, Murcia town also did not show symptoms and was quarantined.
