Couple, tagged drug suspects, killed in gunfight during car chase

PULILAN, Bulacan–A couple on the police’s list of drug suspects were killed in what authorities said was a clash with law enforcers in this town on Tuesday (May 2).

Police identified the slain drug suspects as Froilan Orillosa and his live-in partner, Lea Lucas.

Investigators said the two fired at policemen during a buy-bust operation past 1 p.m. at the village of Paltao.

The suspects were aboard a car when they allegedly opened fire at policemen chasing them, leading to a gunfight.

Police said they found in the couple’s possession 15 sachets of shabu, or crystal meth, a 9 mm pistol and different identification cards.
