Crystal meth found in two mailed parcels at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) on Friday seized about 500 grams of shabu or crystal meth found in two parcels at a warehouse of a mail courier company along Domestic Road in Pasay City.

The drugs were discovered following random baggage profiling and K-9 sweeping, according to a report of the Naia-IADITG team.

The first parcel was declared as “chocolates with chips” sent by a man from San Pedro City in Laguna to Iloilo City.

The parcel was found to contain two packets with 300 grams of shabu valued at P2.4 million.

The second parcel was declared as “biscuits chocolate” shipped from Santa Rosa City in Laguna to Bacolod City. The parcel was found containing 200 grams of shabu worth P1.36 million.
