Four die in Camarines Norte shooting spree
NAGA CITY—The early hours of Friday the 13th proved unlucky for four persons who were senselessly killed by a drunk man in Barangay (village) Gumamela in Labo, Camarines Norte, police said Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Joselito Esquivel, police director of Camarines Norte, said by phone that the suspect Archiel Abuyo (age yet to be determined by the police) of Barangay Pinya fled after shooting and killing storeowner Rosita Dino, 36, her husband, Roger, and her brother-in-law, Garry; and a certain Efren Reyes, 29, who was also in the store when the incident took place.
Esquivel said the suspect and a companion were drinking liquor in Rosita’s store at around 3:20 a.m. on Friday when the killings took place.
The suspect got irked when Rosita asked for their payment and shot the victims, who were all inside the store that time.
Rosita and Reyes died on the spot. Roger and Garry were rushed to the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital in the neighboring capital town of Daet but were declared dead on arrival.
Abuyo was now the subject of a police manhunt, Esquivel said
