MANILA, Philippines — A judge in Compostela Valley has been ordered by the Supreme Court to explain her alleged violation of quarantine measures while celebrating her birthday weeks ago.

Judge Cresenciana de la Cruz of the Nabunturan Regional Trial Court Branch 3 and her staff reportedly celebrated the judge’s birthday “by having a buffet treat in her chamber.”

The judge and her staff were accused of “ignoring the strict guideline on social distancing,” according to the Supreme Court public information office.
