MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies continued to affect parts of Luzon including Metro Manila on Tuesday, while easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean will continue bringing warm weather to Visayas and Mindanao.
According to weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Tuesday, isolated thunderstorms and rain showers may occur in various parts of Metro Manila and Luzon.
While this may also be felt in areas in Visayas and Mindanao, provinces in the said regions can expect generally fair weather.
Earlier, the state weather bureau issued a thunderstorm advisory in Tarlac, Bulacan, and Laguna, saying that moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds may be felt in the next two hours.
Pagasa is also monitoring a weather system above Batanes called a stationary front, where warm and cold winds meet, which would generate clouds that may bring rain. As of now, such a system has no effect on the country’s weather.
The temperature in Metro Manila would still be high, ranging from 26 to 35 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 26 to 34 degrees on Wednesday. Cebu’s temperature for the next two days meanwhile would play around 27 to 34 degrees.
No gale warning has been raised as of now, although sea condition in Luzon’s northernmost tip would be moderate, while the rest of the country would have slight to moderate seas.
