MANILA, Philippines – The Supreme Court has issued a show-cause order against a regional trial court (RTC)  and her staff for possible violations of quarantine protocols when she celebrated her birthday with her staff.

The subject of the show cause order is Nabunturan, Compostela Valley RTC Branch 3 Presiding Judge Cresenciana Dela Cruz Cruz and her staff.

In a statement released by the high court’s Public Information Office, the judge and her staff allegedly had a buffet treat in her chambers ignoring the strict guideline on social distancing.

The high court also ordered the Office of the Court Administrator (OCA) to submit a report within 15 days as to whether or not there were violations committed by Judge Cruz and her staff.
